What I’m working on

“Love you babe,” Katriona hid the automatic flinch when he bent down and cooed at her growing belly. “And you too, little man.”

She swallowed and gave him a smile, ignoring the pounding in her ears and the adrenaline that was coursing through her veins, “We love you too.”

Just a little snippet of what I’m writing at the moment.

A Journey (still in progress) is complete and ready for publication, but I think I’m afraid to submit it. That’s probably why I’ve held off on getting it out there. Maybe after a few more days I’ll feel more comfortable, but we’ll see.

And we made it!

So, I’ve finally hit the 60 poem mark I was aiming for! Now it’s just a matter of time before I publish. All I’m needing now is some beta readers.

A Journey (Still in progress) is a collection of poetry and prose about the experiences of life. Growing up under the weight of abuse and toxic relationships and how that can affect someone soul deep. It also contains the navigation of marriage and motherhood.
The book is divided into three parts, each a reflection of different aspects of life.

Almost there!

So, because of Tes, I’ve gotten almost a whole book of poetry written. At this point in time, I can’t decide if I want to publish under my name or a pseudonym. Hopefully I’ll be able to make that decision soon. If anyone else has any thoughts to add, feel free. I’d like as many opinions as possible before I make the decision.

Just a little thank you

I’ve been getting a lot of writing done in part to my amazing friend, Tes. I sincerely doubt I’d have gotten back into the swing of things without her. We did a couple of timed writing sessions at her house today and it went pretty well for the both of us. Most of what I had written was dialogue but it’s better than nothing, right?

Just a little snippet of what I was working on today.

“I’m so stupid,” she griped mournfully into the pillow.

“Zo, you’re not stupid. He’s just a douche who doesn’t know a quality woman when he sees one.”

Tes and I are working on a series of short stories about fake relationships that turn into something more.

Not about writing…

I’ve been a little distracted the past few days. My husband and I have decided that we’re going to renew our vows on our next wedding anniversary, so I’ve been submerged into the world of wedding venues, dresses and decorations. (It’s like an addiction now).

Even so, I need to get back into posting more frequently and working on my novels. I’ve decided I’m going to block specific times for the wedding planning and more time for my writing. Hopefully this goes well. I guess we’ll see, shall we?
